The Tribute installation is a public landmark that celebrates the remarkable history of Italian Canadians who have played a pivotal role in this city and country.
This two-phase campaign encompassed the Groundbreaking Ceremony in June 2024, which marked the commencement of construction, and the Unveiling Event in November 2024, which celebrated the completion of the installation’s first phase.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony – June 2024
The campaign aimed to generate significant media buzz through a targeted media outreach strategy, which emphasized the Tribute project’s monumental impact and the opportunity to interview local politicians, dignitaries, and micro-celebrities.
The Unveiling Ceremony – November 2024
Just five months after the groundbreaking ceremony, Villa Charities was ready to unveil the first phase of the Italian Canadian Immigrant Tribute installation, which also included a striking new sculpture called Hope.
