On September 29th, 2024, the Canada-wide charity after BREAST CANCER held its 12th Annual Pink Diamond Gala to empower and raise funds for breast cancer survivors.
The Pink Diamond Gala is known for its star-studded guest list and inspiring atmosphere. Headlining this year’s event was Mathew Knowles, the legendary manager behind Destiny’s Child and father of Beyoncé and Solange. Knowles, being a survivor of male breast cancer himself, is a powerful advocate for raising awareness and educating others about this lesser-known disease.
MAVERICK’s efforts to proudly support the event included conducting pre-interviews and curating earned media opportunities for Mathew Knowles and Alicia Vianga, the founder of after BREAST CANCER.
The gala was a resounding success, drawing in over 650 attendees, including prominent influencers and representatives from OMNI television. This remarkable turnout helped generate over $100,000, which will directly fund ABC’s Care KIT!, Thrive Program, and other workshops designed to help cancer survivors navigate their post-treatment lives with dignity and hope.
